Ingredients:
- 1 lb all-beef hot dogs, sliced into 1-inch rounds
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup honey-based BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- Slice the hot dogs into 1-inch thick rounds.
- Place the rounds into a large resealable bag, add the yellow mustard, and toss until every piece is thinly coated.
- Add the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and black pepper to the bag. Shake vigorously until the bites are fully encrusted in the rub.
- Cook the bites using one of four methods: Oven (400°F for 15 minutes), Air Fryer (380°F for 10 minutes), Smoker (225°F for 1 hour, followed by 350°F for 15 minutes), or Grill (medium heat on a grill grate until charred), until edges are charred.
- While the bites cook, combine BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small pan over medium heat. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Toss the cooked hot dog bites in the thickened glaze until evenly coated.
